In 2009 ILTM and ultra.travel worked together to initiate a new awards programme. 

The ILTM ultra.travel Awards recognised the best and most memorable luxury travel experiences from around the world, as voted for by the users of luxury travel community www.ultra.travel and participants of International Luxury Travel Market.
