White Water Rafting on the Zambezi River below the Victoria Falls is the wildest white water on the planet and the actual experience surpasses even this imagery. Riverboarding is different from rafting, because adventurers get to be the master of their own destinies. Surf the Zambezi rapids on body boards accompanied by a guide. Jet boating is an exhilarating Zambezi boat ride through rapids below number 21. A pilot navigates the boat through the treacherous rapids, while the crew get to enjoy the fast paced adrenalin action. Another way to navigate the rapids is aboard a tandem kayak.

Canoe trails operate above Victoria Falls and are the perfect activity for those who want to experience the tranquility of the Zambezi River as they paddle downstream with the current in inflatable two-man canoes.



The Canoe Trail passes through the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, where clients have a good opportunity of viewing the endangered White Rhino, the only concentration on the Zambezi River.

Within the gazetted bounds of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, on the banks of the Zambezi, Elephant back safari’s are operated by Safari Par Excellence. The park is resident to wild elephant, hippo, buffalo, impala, giraffe, zebra and small cats such as civet and servile. Guests are able to ride up high with their guides through the beautiful riverside scenery. The Royal Livingston Steam Express is a joint venture between Sun International and Bushtrack’s Africa offering a unique dining experience as you travel through the picturesque Irwell Valley in Pullman style coaches which have been lovingly restored to their former glory
The ambiance of the dining carriage offers more than warm elegance. The large windows allow for panoramic views of the passing parade, while the incandescent lighting adds intimate warmth from individual lamps on each table gently illuminating the beautifully detailed wooden interiors. Try your hand at a Jet skiing, it will take your breath away - as you let the throttle go, you feel the roar of the engine between your legs and the erratic pounding of your pulse. Water Skiing is considered to be an extreme sport and lovers of the sport say it is all about making a splash. The thrill of crossing the wave and the power of the spray of the shalom ski is an exhilarating and giddy sensation. There is nothing to beat it on a hot African summer’s day.

Parasail above the tree-line and gently sway in the wind then nose dive like a swallow as you plummet towards the water, and then suddenly tango into the wind once again.




The dense rugged bushveld of the Sun City Resort lends itself to horse riding. Meander through the indigenous forests and enjoy the splendour of this ancient volcanic landscape, with a brisk walk or a leisurely canter.

Elephant-back game viewing has arrived in the Pilanesberg National Park and adventurers can take a ride on one of Africa’s finest animals. Lumbering silently through the bush, you will ride atop a mighty African elephant. This gentle giant will take you on an unforgettable journey. The exhilaration of the experience is walking through the bush as part of the wildlife.

The Outdoor Adventure Centre at Sun City will appeal to those who enjoy extending their minds and bodies. The Adventure Centre offers Quad Bike adventure trails, clay target shooting, archery and drum circles.

Quad Bikes are rough and ready vehicles that excel at tackling hard terrain and the bushveld.



They handle the arid and volcanic landscape of the Pilanesberg and allow adventurers to explore hidden crevices and ravines that are inaccessible on foot.

Discover the ancient art of target shooting. Archers of yesteryear used rudimentary equipment whereas today the equipment is more modern and sophisticated. Modern recurve bows and contemporary equipment such as compound bows and powerful crossbows are used. Archery is about muscle discipline, eye dominance, and accuracy.

For centuries drumming has formed part of the African culture. Rituals, celebrations, funerals, healing and initiation ceremonies are marked by the rhythmic beat of drums. The Outdoor Adventure Centre offers guests the chance to beat their own drum. Feel the primal, heartfelt pulse beneath your fingers as you beat out an African rhythm.

The Table Bay Hotel is situated in the heart of South Africa's number one tourist destination, Cape Town. The city is dominated by a towering, table-shaped mountain, set on a peninsula of soaring, rocky heights and lush valleys, where two oceans meet, the Indian and the Atlantic.
