Palace Hotel Tokyo Joins The Leading Hotels of the World
Tokyo, November 19, 2010 — Palace Hotel Co., Ltd. announced today that the all new Palace Hotel Tokyo, which will make its grand opening on the banks of the
palace moat in the heart of central Tokyo in spring 2012, has joined The Leading Hotels of the World, the prestigious luxury hospitality group representing the world’s finest hotels and resorts for reservations and marketing.
The Leading Hotels of the World, which represents more than 430 member hotels
worldwide, operates 22 sales offices and 13 reservation centers in major cities around the globe. Advantages of reserving through the group include enriching, exclusive benefits at leading hotels for Leaders Club members, who currently number some 70,000 business executives and other affluent clients.
Palace Hotel Tokyo was accepted for membership by this exclusive group based on the excellent marks it received as one of Japan’s finest hotels for nearly half a century. Formal approval of Palace Hotel Tokyo into the group came during The Leading Hotels’ general meeting in Japan today.
Prospective member hotels are evaluated
against rigorous standards for management,service, amenities, facilities, staff, and additionally for hotel philosophy, business policy, history, performance and much more, amounting to some 800 items in total.
Admission of new member hotels is
conducted once each year, with only about 40 hotels approved out of approximately 1,000 applicants.
Backed by The Leading Hotels of the World’s exclusive brand, global sales network and loyal membership, Palace Hotel Tokyo expects to welcome some 60,000 guests from overseas, accounting for approximately 60% of the total occupancy each year.
