Mario Jobbe is an established leader in web product management and social media. As Co-Founder & COO of Brand Karma, he drives the company’s product team and operations, helping travel and hospitality companies harness the power of new media.
Prior to starting Brand Karma, Mario worked in product management at Microsoft. Focused on reaching the international audience of student technologists, Mario created massively scalable programs to connect Microsoft with its next-generation customers. While at Microsoft, he created, launched and marketed one of its first social networking sites in 15 languages. He was a member of several marketing leadership teams at Microsoft, including its Marketing Leadership Recruit program.
Before Microsoft, Mario did research in computer science at Northwestern University’s Intelligent Information Laboratory (InfoLab). While at the InfoLab, he developed a technology for improving classroom presentations called PocketClassmate. He currently has patents pending for his research in collaborative software.
Mario is a sought-after consultant, and has guided the product and social media strategies of leading e-commerce and hospitality companies. He has delivered talks and technical demonstrations to audiences around the world, including Fortune 500 executives, academic research societies, and international conference attendees. Mario is a graduate of Northwestern University and holds a degree in Computer Science and Economics.
